Dr. Prof Darius F Mirza is among the leading Liver Transplant Surgeons with 30 years of experience in the field.
He has been the Secretary of the European Liver and Intestinal Transplant Association (ELITA) from 2001-2005, and a Committee Member of the British Transplantation Society (BTS) from 2015-2017.
He currently has Professional Membership of the European Society of Organ Transplantation (ESOT), International HPB Association (IHPBA), West Midlands Surgical Society, Intestinal Transplantation Association (ITA), International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS), British Medical Association (BMA), Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT), and Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISGE).
Dr. Mirza has done over 5,000 liver transplants across the globe and has a special interest in Adult & Paediatric Liver and Intestine Transplantation, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery - liver, pancreas and biliary cancer, Laparoscopic HPB Surgery, Bile duct strictures, and Portal hypertension surgery.
He did his MBBS from Seth G S Medical College Mumbai in 1984, MS - General Surgery from KEM hospital Mumbai in 1989, and FRCS from Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 1993.
He has written various well-researched articles and published papers in national and international journals.
